Staying on Zen Dog is a great experience but combining a stay with a trip out is an AMAZING experience!
If you have booked to stay for 2 or more nights, we can offer you a range of exciting trips at discounted affordable prices (because we’ve already got the income from your stay). If you haven’t booked a 2 night stay, have a look at our general charters page.
Although only 4 people can stay on Zen Dog, you can invite four more friends or family (a total of 8 guests) to join you for your trip.
It is best to book your trip in advance to make sure Mike the skipper is available but, if when you arrive for your stay, the weather forecast is great and you fancy a trip out, we’ll do our best to sort something out for you.

Here’s the trips we can offer you:
2 Hour Sightseeing Trips – £350
The 2 hour trip (with 2 hours of engine run time) normally involves a trip to see the sights of the Western Solent – The Needles, Alum Bay, Hurst Castle. Everyone gets chance to drive. We can’t run these on your departure day because check-out is 10am.
4 Hour Trips – £450
This is the 2 hour trip plus a stop off in either Yarmouth Harbour so you can visit one of its great places to eat (The George Hotel, The Terrace Restaurant and Off The Rails are our favourites) OR, if we can get you a table, a stop at The Hut Restaurant in Colwell Bay (We’ve got a great relationship with them and we’ll do our best but they get very booked up) OR we can drop the anchor in Alum Bay for a picnic lunch plus some sunbathing, an optional swim or a go on our stand up paddle board (weather permitting). We can’t run these on your arrival day because check-in is 3pm and we can’t run these on your departure day because check-out is 10am. 6 Hour Trip – £550
This is the 4 hour trip plus two more hours out and about. That’s enough time to go to Yarmouth or The Hut for lunch AND anchor up for a swim, some seal spotting, a go on the paddle board or just some relaxing time. As above, we can’t run these on your arrival or departure days
How to Book
If you are booked to stay on Zen Dog, then the whole boat is yours for the duration of your stay and there’s no worries about whether Zen Dog is available. The only issue is skipper availability (normally Mike the owner) but as we now live down the road, this isn’t a big problem.
So, please click the button below to fill in our Charter Enquiry Form and we’ll respond very quickly- hopefully by sending you a booking form with a payment link. Once you’ve paid for your trip, it goes in Mike’s diary and he’ll send you lots more information.
Please note that you can cancel all charter trips up to the time of departure for a full refund. Generally, we only operate if the weather is calm and dry – nobody wants a soggy, bumpy boat trip but we’ll discuss with you before cancelling!
